On Regrets

People tend to regret a lot of things in life. But studies show that about 75 percent of the regrets are about 'not doing' something (like not taking an opportunity), and only 25 percent of regrets are about 'doing' something (like trusting the wrong person).

The reason is simple, when you do something, you get the results and there is no more speculations involved. But when you don't do something, don't seize and opportunity, all of the world remain as possibilities left unexplored and the increased the amount of 'opportunity cost' keeps hovering in your mind.

So if you wish to reduce your regrets, take that leap of faith and hope that you fly. Maybe you will fall, maybe you will float, but take joy in knowing that you will not one day say, "It might have been..."
