A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose, the poet said. The same is true for a thorn. Yet with so many thorns, we call the plant a rose plant. One rose blossoms and takes away all the attention. In life as we grow we gather thorns and roses in every turn of life. If you let the thorns take away all the attention, you will miss out on the beautiful rose. So while it is important to handle the thorns, it is even more important to grow your roses. Blossom like a rose into full being. Maybe you will be plucked before you get to become all you can be, but the effort should be there for a full blossom.
