In this version of the universe, the Mystics and the Scientists have reconciled their differences to join forces. With the ancient wisdom from the Mystics and the iterative progression from the Scientists, the world moved forward by leaps and bounds. The Mystics always knew that music was the language of the Gods. It had magical properties no one could ever quite put into words. Everyone had at least one experience of music, when a song or tune took them to long lost past, or made them feel closer to a friend not met with in years, or induced a daydream about being in a place without ever visiting it in person.
With the scientists now at the scene, mixture of audio frequencies were discovered that could actually work to teleport people to another country, to another person, or even make them be able to talk to someone who had been lost forever. It did not work for everyone the same way though, one had to be "in-tune" to be one of the lucky ones experience this magic— at the confluence of mysticism and science.
So this development remained mostly a secret, with radio shows broadcasting tunes that would be able to open up this brave new world to a new lucky person, every once in a while. For others, the show remained a tad bit repetitive.
