Alternate Universe Series. Episode 10. Love.

In this version of the universe, the West has finally accepted the age old wisdom from the East, and surrendered themselves to the mystic's definition of love: which is that love is no different to devoted prayers. This definition of love has always been there, in songs, in poetries, in stories, making its waves in people's souls.

This is why the aradhana verses from Tagore could easily be interpreted as romantic songs, and highly spiritual words by Bauls could be interpreted as arrogant.

Why aradhana? Because under the layer of emotional and physical love, is the layer of spiritual union. And this union is not to be taken lightly. It carries with it thousands of years of memories, from multiple panes of reality.

Why arrogant? Because at the core of all union, is the inner longing of each soul to be one with the source of all creations. And each union, each love, each intense friendship, in practice, is an attempt at feeling that divinity, by being a little more vulnerable each day, peeling off another layer of protection in front of this person, on this new day, in hopes of seeing some glimmer of acceptance. An acceptance that reminds her, "even with all your flaws, the divinity flows through you."

Once the west realized the real motivation behind everything that runs our dating life, apps that made rejection more difficult, interaction easier, and made each other feel dispensable—finally took a back seat. The new apps made sure that you had to dig into each other's soul before sending a block or a swipe left. This level of involvement was UNBEARABLE for most, true, but it also spawned a new era of super humans. Elevated beings. True love. Divine unions, walking among mere mortals. Two member teams, of all types, who would make the sun shine brighter in the morning just by thinking about it, and they could make it rain in the evening, just by looking at the clouds, happily connected to everything in the universe, even if for a few minutes, every single day.
